Kawaii Kon 2011

Hey guys! I completed one of my life goals this weekend

My goal was to be a vendor at an Artist Alley before I graduated from high school.
I was really excited, but not really prepared >__>;;
But still, I had a great experience!
I was able to do a bunch of small commissions there, which was really fun

There were TONS of cosplayers (duh! It's an anime/manga convention)!! Hetalia, Akatsuki (from Naruto), the Varia (from KHR), Vocaloids and Chi (from Chobits) were really popular cosplays.
There was a really nice Professor Oak/Luffy that commissioned me! She was very nice and also cosplayed well!
There was an Appleseed group that did well. And the lady a few tables away did a really good cosplay of Witch Hunter Robin. It was fun to see everyone all dressed up *v*
There was also some DRRR and lots of pokemon (and trainers too!) and Team Rocket!

There was one thing that was a bit disappointing though.....
Katekyo Hitman Reborn isn't that popular in Hawaii apparently >__> I couldn't believe how many people didn't know what it was..... ;______;
Another thing I didn't really get to experience was having tablemates.. Because our tablemates were always running around and cosplaying.
I also didn't meet other artists much. I was too nervous because there were so many good artists there *~*;;

I learned a lot about doing business and dealing with people.
It was fun to see a bunch of people I hadn't seen for a long time.
I also got some last minute print trades in before closing time! :> I will cherish them forever!

Ahhh *_* I think I want to sell again next year, but I didn't pre-register.... I have to the summer to think it over though.

Phew! What a good weekend!
